The Basics of Hand-Balancing with Adrienne Kelly

Contrary to popular belief, balancing on your hands does not require having a great deal of strength, but rather learning to shift your weight and engage some core muscle groups to achieve weightlessness and lift-off. This workshop will help all students explore this shift by starting with the basics and building up into supported and unsupported balance poses. Join us in this fun, playful environment where we will work through the mechanics of many different balancing poses, try new approaches and work towards more challenging hand-balances. All are welcome as this is an open forum to refine an existing hand-balancing practice, or begin a new one at your own pace with support (and likely alot of laughs).
